Bounce is a about a thirteen year old girl named Evyn. Her mother passed away when she was younger, she “talks” to her mother on a daily basis. Evyns father moved on and is getting soon getting married to a women Evyn and her brother rarely know. Evyn isn’t very happy about that because she has to move to Boston, leave her friends behind, and her soon to be stepmom has six kids! My favorite part in the book is when Evyns dad and her stepmom announced they were pregnant.
This is my favorite part because before they announced the big surprise, evyn was saying how much she hates her step-mom.
The main character in my book is Evyn Linney and she’s a rude thirteen year old. Evyn hates her stepmom, she’s always saying how much she dislikes her and how she doesn’t like that her dad married her. On chapter 18, page 116 evyns stepmom and her were invited to a “mother daughter tea”. Evyn responded with “Are they serious? Do they actually think she’s my mother?” This is some proof that evyn doesn’t like her stepmom, and how she’s very rude when it comes to her.
Bounce is one of my new favorite books. I like this books because I like how the author wrote the book in Evyns point of view and his detailed she was when she was explaining the problems Evyn was going through. I would also recommend this book to my friends if they enjoy a funny and serious book, some parts in the book could be funny and some can be serious like when she talks about her mother.
